How many times have we said that after parties have even better looks than the main event?! While that was true for this year’s Met Gala, it also seems to be true for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards that took place on Monday, September 12th, as we have yet another super sexy look that presented itself on an after party red carpet – this time courtesy of Sydney Sweeney!
We bet Sydney wanted to pull out all the sartorial stops on the Emmys after party red carpet; firstly, to celebrate her Euphoria co-star Zendaya’s history-making Emmy win, but secondly, to celebrate her very own birthday, which also just so happened to be on Monday night too. What a busy yet glamorous night!

The 25-year-old Euphoria and White Lotus actress (who received nods for both shows!) looked every inch the Emmy-nominated TV star and birthday girl on the red carpet for HBO’s nominee reception that took place after the main ceremony at San Vicente Bungalows, a private members club in West Hollywood.
Sydney swapped the breathtaking shimmering floral appliqué Oscar de la Renta dress she wore to the main event for a much sleeker and sexier design (much like Zendaya did when she changed out of her black Valentino ballgown and rocked a svelte red Valentino number for an after party) this time, choosing a stunning jade green vintage dress from the Versace archives. Wow!

An interesting thing we should mention about the dress, or rather, the styling of the dress, is that Sydney actually wore the dress backwards. Intentionally, of course, to reveal the sexy cutouts on her chest and stomach, the latter of which appeared to be a popular body part reveal on Emmys night, as Emmy-award-winning actress Julia Garner also exposed her stomach in a stunning yet controversial Gucci dress at the main event.
They may not have been a huge trend when the dress first made its runway debut, hence why they were perhaps originally demoted to the back of the dress, but in 2022, the cutout detailing was front and center. And we are obsessed! The dress also featured some very interesting long latex sleeves, and Sydney styled her blonde hair in a chic straight down do, choosing to forgo the jewelry to let the dress do all the talking!
