In a multi-photo post captioned, "it's called...acting," Sweeney shared some behind the scenes shots of the filming of season 3 of Euphoria. Shots with costars Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs, Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy Perez, and Maude Apatow, who plays Lexi Howard, were featured alongside many solo shots in her various costumes throughout the season.
However, fans were quick to notice that one person was notably missing from the actress's photo dump: Zendaya.
Zendaya, 29, who plays Rue Bennett in the show, was nowhere to be seen, and fans were certainly not surprised. The actresses have been rumored to be embroiled in a "bitter feud," and this isn't the first instance of tension.
Zendaya Avoids Sydney Sweeney At 'Euphoria' Premiere
Sweeney's post comes not long after Zendaya added fuel to feud rumors by seemingly deliberately avoiding Sydney Sweeney at the Euphoria premiere. The cast of Euphoria—minus Zendaya—were reportedly "long sat" for the 7pm screening time, but Zendaya, who plays Rue in the series, reportedly didn't arrive until 8pm.
This is widely speculated to be due to a "bitter" feud between her and costar Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie in the show. If you're to believe the rumors, Zendaya and Sweeney reportedly avoid each other "on and off" set.
In a recent episode of The Rest Is Entertainment, Ruchard Osman and Marina Hyde were discussing the effort that went into scheduling the filming of Euphoria, calling it a "military style" operation.
And while a lot of that has to due with the busy filming schedules of many of the main characters—Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi—most of it is likely due to the tension between Zendaya and Sweeney. "You're not going to see those two in a picture," Hyde said.
