Target has joined the likes of Walmart and other retailers in modifying their holiday store hours for the Covid-19 reality!

The retail chain has typically been open until 10 or 11pm on Christmas Eve to the delight of last-minute shoppers (aka, all of us)–but this year they’re switching things up a bit.

The Minneapolis-based company announced that they will close at 8pm on Christmas Eve, aka early, but that they will be open later for the days leading up to Christmas Eve. Still with us?

The store is also closed on Christmas Day (as usual), so you won't be able to run out then either. But the good news is that the company has extended their shopping hours overall (much to the chagrin of employees) so you can do more late-night Target runs leading up to the big day.

According to their coronavirus notices, Target's extended holiday hours are 7 a.m.-11 p.m. leading up to Christmas.

Longer store hours means more time to shop, and with every visit to Target or any store the CDC strongly urges practicing social distancing, wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer.

We might also suggest taking advantage of the many safety precautions Target has rolled out for coronavirus, such as contactless payment, MyCheckout devices throughout the store (so you don't have to wait online) and the ability to make a reservation to visit the store (to avoid long lines outside).
