After a whirlwind, rumored (and never officially confirmed) romance, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are not back together, insiders are stressing. Despite a recent tabloid report that the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker and 1975 frontman rekindled their relationship, sources close to Swift are apparently telling People Magazine that this is not true.
An insider reportedly dished to the outlet: “They are absolutely not together and aren’t even in contact anymore. She is enjoying being single and has been spending time in the studio and hanging out with friends in New York City. This is all B.S.”
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy Are Not Dating Again, Insiders Say
Swift and Healy were first spotted together back in May (just weeks after reports of Swift's breakup from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn broke the internet).
The 33-year-old Grammy winner and 34-year-old indie rocker were photographed in public together in the following weeks.
The "Bejeweled" singer and "About You" crooner were seen leaving Electric Lady Studios in New York City together, locking lips and holding hands while grabbing dinner, and hitting members-only venues with fellow famous friends like Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley.
As seen in fan-shot footage from Swift's Eras Tour, Healy also attended her concerts in Nashville and Philadelphia before heading back to Europe with his band for The 1975 concerts.
In early June, many outlets began reporting that Swift and Healy called off their fling, with sources confirming this to People. "They were never boyfriend-girlfriend or exclusive and were always just having fun," one insider revealed at the time.
Before connecting with Healy, Swift was romantically linked to Conversations with Friends actor Joe Alwyn, her boyfriend from 2016 to 2023. News of their shocking breakup first broke on April 8th, as Entertainment Tonight reported that they part ways "a few weeks" prior. Soon after, People confirmed the split, citing the reason for it as "differences in their personalities."
A source also allegedly told the mag that the Favourite actor and Speak Now (Taylor's Version) songwriter "had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together." Ultimately, an insider dished at the time, they just "weren't the right fit for one another."
While Swift has yet to officially comment on her split from Alwyn or her fling with Healy, she did say to her Foxborough, Massachussetts tour stop crowd back in May: "I've just never been this happy in my life, in all aspects of my life ever."
In a video recorded by a fan and shared on TikTok, Swift added: "And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It's not just a tour, I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense."
