Taylor Swift has been making headlines as she supports her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at his various NFL games. While the pop star has actually increased NFL viewership—the league clocked its highest regular-season female viewership since it began tracking it in 2000 AND has generated $331.5M in equivalent brand value for the Chiefs and the NFL—many football fans have found a way to be angry about it, screaming at her, “You ruined the NFL!” Usually, Taylor doesn’t respond to such nonsense, but this time, she clapped back. Keep reading for more details.

Football Fans Harass Taylor Swift

Last weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, an outcome that not many predicted. Ravens fans were outraged at the loss, and rather than blaming their team, they turned on Taylor Swift.

As the “You Need To Calm Down” singer exited the stadium surrounded by her friends, one Ravens fan screamed at her, “You’re ruining the NFL!” while another just yelled, “F*** you!”

Taylor actually spoke on the backlash she gets for attending her boyfriend’s football games during her TIME Person of the Year interview. “I’m just there to support Travis,” the pop star said. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

Fed up with the baseless backlash, Taylor clapped back at the fans yelling obscenities at her, yelling right back, “I didn’t do anything!” That she didn’t.

Swifties Support Taylor In The Comments

The interaction has gone viral on TikTok, and of course, Swifties, as Taylor's fans like to call themselves, have come to her defense in the comment section. "Why is she ruining football?" one fan asked. "She's supporting her boyfriend and she doesn't choose to be put on the screen."

"Like womp womp not her fault," another said.

"Not her fault they can't catch a damn ball!" another fan wrote.

"Brads and chads that's all I have to say," said another.

"What sensitive lil buddies," one person commented. "Little guys need a nap so they don't keep acting out."

"Tell them to cry me a river build a bridge and get over it," snapped another fan.

"It is the media's fault, she doesn't ask for them to put her on TV she is just supporting her boyfriend," a final fan said.
