Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Scrap Rhode Island Wedding Plans
Ocean House, a grand hotel on the bluff of the Watch Hill peninsula near Swift's Rhode Island home, is in fact hosting a wedding this weekend, but it isn't Taylor Swift's. Elizabeth Hall, a wedding planner, actually spoke out to say that she is hosting a wedding at Ocean House this weekend and to steer clear, as it isn't Swift and Kelce's. "Taylor Swift is not getting married at the Ocean House this weekend," Hall said. "We do have a wonderful couple getting married there, and they’re very excited, but it is not Taylor and Travis’s wedding."
According to TMZ, the plans for a mid-June wedding at Ocean House have been scrapped due to privacy issues. Between the assumptions about the date and the speculation around the location, it was too risky from a security standpoint to host their wedding. Where and when the wedding will be now is up in the air—unless it's already happened!
Taylor Swift Reportedly Paid Bride For Her Wedding Date
13 is Swift's longstanding lucky number, so the rumors that she paid another bride for her wedding date at Ocean House aren't hard to believe. Several outlets initially claimed the "Love Story" singer wrote a huge check to persuade the woman to move her wedding.
However, Stephanie Leavitt, area director of sales and marketing for the Ocean House, reportedly told TMZ that their policy "would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date." Who knows which rumors are true?
