May people thing you should exfoliate to get rid of facial redness. In actuality, you should avoid over exfoliating red skin. According to Allure, "Moisturizers, scrubs, and astringent toners with glycolic acid are problematic. A good trick for covering up redness is to use a mineral foundation. Mineral makeup tends to create a more natural look. Denno explains, "It’s easy to use and provides immediate coverage.” A cult favorite mineral foundation is the bareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 ($28.50).

Dry skin can get also be another cause of facial redness. In these cases, it's important to properly moisturize your face.
