Walmart has a totally new plan for Black Friday this year, and the deals are starting sooner than you’d think. The company is hosting a string of deals throughout the month of November, calling the new sale Black Friday Deals for Days–and the sales are starting way before Black Friday.

Like many retailers, Walmart needed an innovative way to garner excitement around Black Friday deals while still keeping in-store crowds to a minimum to keep employees and customers safe.

According to the company's statement, "This reinvented Black Friday experience will offer customers the retailer’s best prices of the season on the most sought-after items on 2020 holiday wish lists during three separate savings events across the month of November. Each savings event will begin online at Walmart.com and continue in Walmart stores. And new this year, customers will have the option to pick up their online Black Friday order through Walmart’s contact-free curbside pickup service."

The online sales and pick up options should help keep crowds limited.

Scott McCall, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S., explained, "I’m really excited that this year, when it matters most to our customers, we’re offering them more convenient and safer ways to shop Black Friday at Walmart, whether that’s from the shelf in one of our stores, ordering online and picking it up curbside or having it delivered right to their front door."

He continued, "We’ve been very thoughtful as we planned this year’s event. By spreading deals out across multiple days and making our hottest deals available online, we expect the Black Friday experience in our stores will be safer and more manageable for both our customers and our associates."

The first sale will start on November 4 online and November 7 in stores. For this early deal, you can expect to save on toys, electronics and home products.

The second deal starts online November 11 and in stores November 14. If you're looking to save on electronics (like TVs, computers, and tablets), this is the sale you'll want to pay attention to.

The third deal starts online November 25 and in stores November 27. If you missed out on earlier deals, you'll definitely want to check out this third string of sales. According to the statement, "Walmart will wrap up a month of savings with a third event that will offer great prices on even more electronics, toys and gifts across apparel and home, as well as seasonal décor favorites."

If you do opt to shop in store for these deals, you can expect enhanced safety and cleaning measures.

During the in person sales, Walmart stores will open at 5am and associates will be ready to help customers enter in a single-file line. Plus, they will be offering customers sanitized shopping carts, reminding them to wear masks, and helping enforce social distancing.
