Sharon Stone was involved in a car accident last June, and the Total Recall star, 66, is currently facing a lawsuit for the damages that were supposedly caused during the incident.

The Basic Instinct actress has been accused of driving recklessly, speeding and making “unsafe” maneuvers that resulted in a collision with another car and caused injuries to a woman named Amanda Godepski, as per a recent filing obtained by People Magazine

Godepski lodged a motor vehicle complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court on April 24th, asserting property damage and personal injury. Her allegations include damages exceeding $35,000, for which she seeks compensatory damages of that precise amount.

Sharon Stone Sued For $35K For Alleged Car Crash Damages: What We Know So Far

As per the court records, the purported event took place on June 30, 2023, while heading south on the off-ramp of U.S. Route 101 at Coldwater Canyon Avenue in Los Angeles.

According to Godepski, Stone's ownership, operation, driving, management, and maintenance of a vehicle were done "negligently," resulting in the collision with Godepski's own vehicle. This crash led to "personal injuries and property damage" for Godepski, she claims.

As stated in the filing: "Defendant Sharon Vonne Stone caused the collision by driving too fast for traffic conditions and making an unsafe turning movement into plaintiff's lane of travel and colliding into plaintiff's vehicle."

The Emmy winner stands accused of breaching three separate California vehicle codes due to her alleged actions, according to the documents. These are related to driving too quickly in heavy traffic, executing hazardous turning maneuvers, and making unsafe lane changes.

Godepski identified motor vehicle and general negligence as the reasons for the filing, duly marking them off as the root causes. She claims that she also suffered "wage loss," "loss of earning capacity," "property damage," and "general damage" from the incident.

Furthermore, the plaintiff mentioned that she had incurred hospital and medical expenses due to the collision, claiming that she also endured "emotional distress," "economic damage" and "non-economic damage."

The court has set a hearing for October in regards to the case against the Oscar-nominated actress.
