The Wendy’s customer continued: “So I just went through Wendy’s and got a single with cheese. That’s literally all that’s in the bag. A single. Lesley went on, explaining that it cost “eight dollars and forty five cents” in total. “Are you kidding me right now? One user recently posted that they used to buy a plain cheeseburger for $1.89, but found that the same item cost $2.69 just a week later. They also mentioned, “Last week, Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers and Junior Cheeseburgers were $2.29… now they are $2.69,” and “all the double versions of those went from $3.29 to $3.69, and chicken nuggets from $3.29 to $3.69.”
