As both Harry and Meghan wish to cut ties with their Royal Family obligations, it looks like the crowned jewels will not be the only thing off limits. Queen Elizabeth II, just announced, that she is stripping the couple of their official Royal Sussex Titles.
While it may seem as though Queen Elizabeth II is being a little harsh on both Harry and Meghan, there are a few good points the Queen makes as it comes to protecting the integrity of the Royal Family. This ban, will not allow neither Harry or Meghan to use this name to brand or promote themselves outside of UK and the Royal Family.

Making A Profit Off The Royal Title
The name Sussex, in itself if very lucrative. The shy away from the Royal Family (and it's large sums of money) didn't initially seem as a burden to the couple - as they believed their names and reputation alone could help them financially. Launching several brand campaigns and products arround the 'Sussex' name, the Queen believed that the two were using the Royal Family fame to earn a living. While it wasn't a matter of pride with the Queen, as she believed using their house to exploit money was immoral, it does seem like a small coincidence.
According to the experts, Meghan and Harry had already been underway on their monetary branding before the Queen announced her decision. The two had developed a profitable 11 million+ Instagram account and accompanying website with the Sussex name. They had also made up stationary, notebooks, and even childrens' books that all utilize their Royal Titles.
Having to rebrand their image will come at a cost, not only in the rebrand - but the couple has spent tens of thousands of pounds to develop their current campaign.
Not Just About Money... Name of Harry and Meghan's Charity Must Change
Before we go judging the couple of exploiting their previous ties to the Royal Family for a pretty penny, remember that a good amount of their efforts and contributions with the Sussex title ties around their charity: Sussex Royal, The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
According to their site, this charity "include groups promoting environmental and societal well-being. While supporting Prince Harry’s work in these areas, The Duchess of Sussex has continued to focus particular energy on women’s empowerment and gender equality, as she has for many years."
Their charitible efforts will continue after the name change - and hopefully will not lose momentum or funding.

While the Queen has continuously showed and expressed she still loves both Harry and Meghan, it's unsure what the fate will be for young Archie. Will his claim to the Sussex' name be stripped as well?
