Taylor Swift can’t seem to stay out of the news–even when it has nothing to do with her. Most recently, news about the singer’s father, Scott Swift, was released. The 67-year-old made headlines when he caught an intruder in his $4 million penthouse in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Apparently, the singer’s father fought with the intruder, Terrence Hoover, before he escaped the property.
Later, Scott Swift was able to identify Hoover in a line up.
This is not the first time Hoover has ran into trouble with the law. His arrest record includes domestic violence by strangulation, aggravated battery, burglary, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping and false imprisonment.
The singer was not at the apartment at the time, and she does not live there normally.
It is not clear yet if the intruder picked the penthouse because of its ties to the singer.
