What: Dominique Cohen for Target

Why: We've seen a handful of fashion designers take on the mass market chain with the GO International project, but this is the first time a prestigious jewelry designer launches a line for the masses and we're thrilled.

Dominique Cohen, luxury designer for the stars, launcehd her company in 1999 and has been running an appointment-only boutique out of LA ever since, catering exclusively to the likes of A-listers like Rosario Dawson and Kate Hudson. Her pieces sell for far more than the masstige variety, and consist of long 14K rose and yellow gold chains decorated with fine gem pendants and embellishments.

As for the Target line, it's a far cry from her originals this season, featuring mostly dark, almost gothic motifs. Cameos, pearls, bronze, tie-necklaces and lots of black dominate. Still, there's a place in our jewely boxes for a few of the items that might have valor. Among them, NY Magazine raved about this Dior look-alike, the Pearl Ball Silk Tie Necklace ($24.99), which we agree is quite pretty. Then there are these sweet, yet funky Beau Coeur Drop Earrings a la parisienne for only $19.99.
