Manicures are a great way to unwind after a stressful week or a fun way to treat yourself to some pampering. If you are like many women out there who are frequenting their salon every week or once a month, sometimes the chemicals and polishes associated with getting manicures can wreak havoc on your nails. I often need a break from getting manicures because my nails become weaker after constantly having polish on them. I wanted a quick fix to get my nails back into shape, so I decided to test out the Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth Treatment, $3.88. This product claims to help your nails become stronger and longer in just three days so I put it to the test.
Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth Treatment, $3.88
Key Ingredient: Keratin
Keratin is the holy grail ingredient when it comes to strengthening your nails and hair. Keratin is a hardening protein that absorbs into the layers of your nails to give them more strength and prevent chipping and peeling. So, if you are having trouble making your nails stronger this is a product you should certainly think about using.
Key Features: Quick Dry
Sitting at the salon or at home after painting your nails and waiting for your nails to dry is sometimes an excruciating process. You won’t have to worry about that with this treatment as it offers quick dry so you can go about your day right after using it without worrying about ruining your manicure.
How to Use:
Interestingly enough, the Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth Treatment, $3.88 should be used with nail color. First, you apply two coats of this product over dry clean nails then let it dry before applying your color polish. After letting your color polish dry you can apply one or two more coats of the growth treatment. Essentially, you are using this product as a base coat and top coat.
My Honest Review:
I was excited to try the Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth Treatment, $3.88 when giving myself an at-home manicure. It was extremely easy to use and I replaced by regular top coat and base coat with this product and it still gave a great shine. I gave myself a manicure on a Monday and reapplied this product as a top coat on Thursday then again on Sunday. After my manicure started chipping as per usual, I removed my color polish and this treatment with nail polish remover and found that my nails looked less brittle and felt stronger to the touch.
The Bottom Line:
If you are taking a break from getting your nails done at the salon, this product is ideal to use in between manicures. The fact that it can be used as both a top coat and base coat makes it easier to use so you don’t have to skip our on using your favorite color polish. It’s extremely easy to use and gives great results in just a few days. You won’t regret this purchase!
