Word on the street is that Rihanna is releasing a blue lipstick, and we are freaking out! Just a few days ago, the pop star turned beauty moguel shared a picture of herself wearing blue lipstick on Fenty Beauty’s Instagram captioned, “We ain’t afraid to #CLAPBACK. #MATTEMOISELLE coming on 12/26 at 9AM EST.” You know what that means, right?! It means we’re getting NEW Fenty Beauty lipsticks at the end of the month! The brand is set to launch 14 colorful matte lipsticks as part of its new #MATTEMOISELLE collection, including this gorgeous blue #CLAPBACK shade.
A dedicated Rihanna fan page on Instagram posted several photos of the RiRi and her upcoming Mattemoiselle lipsticks side-by-side. It looks like we’re not the only ones ready to make that trip to Sephora on Dec. 26!
Blue may seem like a wild card shade for a lipstick, but it’s actually a shade that RiRi loves and has rocked several times in the past. Plus, taking risks with her glam is one of the things Rihanna loves about makeup. “Makeup is there for you to have fun with,” she states on the Fenty Beauty website. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
Photos of Rihanna modeling different matte lipstick shades like red-orange (#FRECKLEFIESTA), peach (#SPANKED), green (#MIDNIGHTWASABI), burgundy (#PMS), hot pink (#CANDYVENOM) and magenta (#ONEOFTHEBOYZ). In addition to the sampled lipstick photos, Fenty Beauty also posted a promotional video of all 14 different lipsticks in the collection! Stay tuned as this blue matte lipstick, along with other shades, will be dropping the day after Christmas at 9 a.m.
