…Is A Friend of Mine.
Last week’s episode of Project Runway said goodbye to wacky Angela but it introduced many to the oh-so-chic French designer, Catherine Malandrino. Those who are unfamiliar with the bonjouring brunette by name might recognize her work from a long list of celeb devotees. Madonna has worn Malandrino on past world tours, and Angelina Joie is a fan too. She also designed Demi Moore’s famous silvery comeback dress that landed the ever-youthful beauty back in the tabloids. Malandrino, a former head of Diane vonFurstenberg, launched her own line in 1998. A few seasonal collections romantically since perfected a smartly urban, yet distinctly feminine look.
Take the bold yet pretty Catherine Malandrino dress seen here. The tiered skirt is less peasanty than you’d expect, the length good for girls with gams and those with more petite stems.
I found the dress and this bright, just-right-for-fall cardigan at activeendeavors.com.
