The idea of chapped lips sends a shudder down my spine. I have pretty dry, flaky lips and the thought of them cracking and peeling is definitely a top five worst feeling for me. Summer Fridays’ Lip Butter Balm looks and feels a lot like Vaseline, except it’s way better for you than actual Vaseline. Not only is it vegan, but it’s also made without harsh ingredients like sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, phthalates, and more. Instead, its superstar ingredients include shea and murumuru seed butters, vegan butters and natural vanilla flavor. When you smooth it over your lips, it feels rich and nourishing and it delivers the perfect amount of shine and glow. Even better, it keeps your lips soft and hydrated for hours.
Obviously, you can use this balm on it’s own, but I have to say it also layers really nicely under lip color. It keeps my lipstick from drying and flaking, which I love.
Am I giving up all the other lip products in my bag? Probably not. Am I adding this one into the mix? Definitely!
