The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

I think we can all agree that dark, puffy bags under our eyes are not even the slightest bit attractive. Lack of sleep, stress and even too much time in front of the computer can get the better of the most sensitive area of our faces. If you love all things skincare like me, you are probably guilty of doing a little bit too much in the name of beauty, especially when it comes to attempting the newest skin crazes (like trying to get rid of dark circles altogether).

I am sure you have tried it all, from the latest retinol eye cream to ice cubes and even the age-old trick of cucumbers. According to Dr. Mark Jacquot, though, you really shouldn’t be putting just anything around eyes and especially not turmeric (even if your favorite beauty blogger is doing it). He explains that the skin under our eyes is super sensitive and putting something like turmeric on them can be detrimental to our health. It can cause allergic reactions, skin irritations and other injuries.

Before attempting to put products that may be okay to ingest on delicate parts of your body, make sure to do an allergy patch test just to be on the safe side and avoid making them worse.
