We of course love good skincare products for what they do physically, but there’s also something about an all natural skin care routine that seems to do something for the soul. Going through the same ritual every morning and night requires a sort of mindfulness that leaves us feeling nourished on all levels. The holistic skincare brand AAVRANI, built around Indian skincare rituals, understands just this. Their line includes just four products that can easily be used to create your own routine.

Glow Activating Exfoliator: The ritual starts with this exfoliator, brightens your skin and clears blemishes in only five minutes. One of the main ingredients, turmeric, is traditionally used in Hindu weddings to bless the marriage. It also helps even skin tone, refine pores, and enhance radiance. The turmeric exfoliator also includes raw honey, which adds hydration and antibacterial properties, and neem, which is full of antioxidants and vitamins.

Balance Restoring Serum: Step two in the ritual is this toning polish, which soothes skin, blocks irritants, removes toxins, and enhances hydration. Tea tree oil, which is traditionally used in India for wound care, fights acne without irritating skin. Cucumber extract helps minimize pores and puffy skin, and chamomile flower provides a huge infusion of soothing antioxidants.

Softening Hydra-Whip: Next in the ritual comes hydration and softening. This whip is filled with coconut oil, which Indians have been using for mind, body, and spirit healing since BC times. Ingredients like vitamin E, fatty acids, and proteins helps skin retain moisture and repair damage while also improving overall cellular health. Dark spots and hyperpigmentation are addressed thanks to vitamin C-packed rosehip oil, which also enhances elasticity and minimizes lines and wrinkles. Shea nut butter, which contains tons of potent stearic acid, is used to further hydrate skin and soothe inflammation.

Eye Rejuvenating Elixir: Finish off your skincare ritual with this eye treatment. It uses the traditional Indian “miracle oil” (AKA sweet almond oil), full of vitamin A, vitamin E, and omega-3 fatty acids, to reduce dark circles and seal in moisture. Rose water, another long-loved Indian beauty ingredient, regenerates and revitalizes skin, and avocado oil further helps to address undereye circles and discoloration and support collagen health.
