The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

When it comes to skincare products, I’ve been around the block a time or two. I’ve tried the moisturizers, the cleansers, the acids, the masks and the serums, and have ended up with a 10-item agenda every time I enter my bathroom to start my skincare routine. So when I heard about Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum, a product that could simplify all of that, I knew I had to get my hands on it ASAP.

I was worried that there might be some sort of placebo effect when I tried this oil because of the cult-ish buzz surrounding it, so I wanted to integrate this product into my routine as if I had never heard of it. But that wasn’t an easy feat after reading the product’s overnight-miracle reviews all over the internet.

The first night I tried it, I washed my face, followed up with some toner and applied the Vintner’s Daughter oil to my clean skin. Then, I hopped into bed like a little girl on Christmas Eve, so darn excited about the following morning when I would see the results.

I woke up, ran to the mirror, and my skin was… kind of the same. No overnight miracles here. I started to do some research because I could NOT accept defeat (Virgos, can I get an Amen?) and found that I had made the critical mistake of not moisturizing after applying the oil, which is needed because my skin is on the dry side.

After trying a second time with moisturizer, I definitely saw an improvement. Still nothing groundbreaking, but my skin was soft and noticeably more even the next day. However, over the next three weeks of using it, I acquired an impressive list of results: my hormonal breakouts were kept at bay, my acne scars were less noticeable, any under-eye circles had become virtually nonexistent and my skin looked incredibly healthy.

Ringing in at $185, Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum is certainly not the most budget-friendly product out there. But for those of you who like to splurge in the name of quality skincare, I would definitely recommend it. The ingredients are all-natural, and the results are impressive. Just make sure to hide it from your roommates!
