Over the past few years, I’ve started to see small but noticeable changes to my hair. My long curly hair has lost some of its thickness and isn’t as strong as it used to be. So, what exactly is going on? I can’t say I know exactly why this is happening, but I think my age, diet and environmental factors definitely play a role in how my hair is continuing to grow. There are so many products out there that promise increased growth and thickness but its hard to know what actually works. Thankfully hair products continue to advance and grow in 2023 and hair growth oils are trending now more than ever. I decided to hop on the hair oil bandwagon and tested and vetted the Viofairy Hair Growth Serum, $11.98 to see if I’d get the results I was looking for.

Key Ingredients: Biotin & Minoxidil
Most of us know that Biotin is a great ingredient to help grow your hair and nails and you can now find it in a lot of hair and skin products. I was excited to see that one of the two main ingredients in the Viofairy Hair Growth Serum, $11.98 was Biotin because of its ability to help with the production of keratin which is also important for hair growth. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as familiar with Minoxidil but found that it is a common ingredient in hair growth and regrowth products which means it was perfect to be included in this product.

The Viofairy Hair Growth Serum, $11.98 has a lot of benefits and key features. It is ideal for both women and men who want to grow their hair faster and those with brittle and thinning hair. The Biotin and Minoxidil in this product combined with a few other nutrients and vitamins are said to increase hair follicle activity and protein production with helps promote healthy hair regrowth which all sounded great to me! The serum was designed to strengthen, protect, restore and stimulate hair follicles from your scalp all the way to your ends. Does that sound too good to be true?
How to Use: This serum can be used on any and all hair types and is suggested to be used once or twice a day, either in the morning or at night. You can drop the serum onto your scalp and your ends and massage it throughout those areas. If you’d rather get your hands a little dirty, you can also place a few drops of the serum on your hands and apply it to your roots or ends, depending on your needs.
My Honest Review:
This was my first time using any type of oil or serum on my hair. I started using the product only at night before going to bed and applied it to my scalp and ends where I can visibly see some breakage. Make sure your hair is clean and dry before using! I placed two drops of serum on my scalp and massaged it in then added two more drops to the bottom of my hair. The formula was a bit greasy so I would suggest using this night before your hair wash day, so you aren’t left with a greasy scalp. The formula wasn’t thick and didn’t have a smell which made it extremely easy to distribute throughout my hair. After a few uses, my hair definitely felt softer and less brittle and I didn’t find it so thin to the touch.
The Bottom Line:
If you want quick hair regrowth and less damaged hair, I’d probably use this product more than once a day. I can feel my hair changing each time I use the Viofairy Hair Growth Serum, $11.98 and think it will continue to just get better as time goes on. Although this isn’t a name brand serum, I think its worth the price point and can even just be used to make your hair look shinier and healthier if you aren’t worried about regrowth.
