Have you ever wondered how often you should be cleaning your nail clippers? To be honest, the answer might surprise you.

According to Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (CDC), all equipment we use before clipping our nails should be cleaned properly. This means we should be cleaning our nail clippers before every single use. This is especially important if the nail clippers are being shared by other people.

The reason why we need to be cleaning our nail clippers after every single use is because dirt and germs naturally build up under our nails, and even when we trim them, if we’re not sterilizing our nail clippers, we’re only building up on more bacteria. Plus especially if you’re sharing nail clippers with someone else, by not cleaning your nail clippers daily, you’re spreading germs back and forth. This could lead to some major (and majorly disgusting) infections, such as pinworms.

To conclude, the best way to take care of your nails is to keep your nail products sterilized frequently and to keep your fingernails short by trimming them daily.
