Back Fat Surgery: How Far Would You Go To Get Rid Of Bra Bulge?

With the humanitarian crisis caused by Hurricane Ike, soldiers still stuck in Iraq, and an ever deepening recession, it only makes sense that  doctors are worrying about… back fat. Our friends at Jezebel turned us on to the news that a doctor has revealed a surgical “back lift” that slims down the bra line, and 20 patients (female, of course) have undergone the procedure to remove their “redundant skin”.

Not only do I wonder who has enough money that slicing off back skin (and it's not a small incision) seems like a reasonable expense, I can't help but question what Dr. Joseph Hunstad—the surgeon who pioneered the surgery—was thinking. Does he hate women?

Ladies, you're gorgeous just the way you are. And, while I believe your mental energy is better spent on contemplating the upcoming election or alpha hydroxy acids, if this is a pressing issue in your life, skip the scalpel and try one of the SheFinds approved solutions instead: Yummie Tummie or the Spanx Bra-llelujah!. They work wonders with zero recovery time or nasty scars.

And don’t forget Sassybax, the company that made the FIRST bra to fight bra bulge and back fat launched in 2004 and still as hot as ever!

Yeah..Sassybax products are great for eliminating that unwanted back fat. You’ll have the back you’ve always wanted without surgery!

I have sensitive skin and my friend just introduced me to Susan Posnick’s Colorflo–it is a mineral-based makeup that works really well and does NOT irritate my skin (finally!)
Also, you can buy refills of the mineral powder (cheaper)…

    Cheers

What I’m curious about is who/what agency is funding this study – certainly not the NSF or NIH. And if it’s a private company, I would be quite insulted that the blame of interest is shunted on doctors.

Surgery, that’s ridiculous! The best product for that problem and more are the sassybax. They work amazingly well, feel good and do more that what they were designed to do. No more back fat. They also slim your tummy and your entire torso. Even if you are thin, you can have back fat around your undergarment.

I swear by them and so does everyone who has tried them, that I know.

    Greetings,

I hope I can shed some additional light on the subject. I am actually the co-author of the Bra Line Back Lift along with Dr. Hunstad. First let me say that no cosmetic procedure takes importance over health, happiness, and well being. (cont)

With that said, the Bra Line Back Lift originated largely from women who despite proper diet and exercise continued to have rolls of soft-tissue on their upper and middle back. Some of these women had lost a significant amount of weight on their own or with the help of surgical weight loss procedures. The extra skin and soft-tissue on their back was, for some dramatic. Imagine having breasts on your back. Or worse yest, two pair of breasts on your back. (cont)

There is no garment in the world that can make that amount of laxity and tissue go away. These women, after much thought and discussion chose to trade a scar for a smooth and uniform back without the rolls of soft-tissue that had prevented them from wearing anything other than the baggiest of clothing. In terms of the study, the funding came solely from Dr. Hunstad and myself. We put the time and energy into publishing the procedure in case other plastic surgeons and patients had reached the same road that some of our patients had arrived at. I have provided some additional details about the procedure on my blog (http://www.thetummytuck.blogspot.com) which may answer any questions that I have not covered here.

    All the best,

    Dr. Repta

Ladies, I too was considering surgery when I found a post for the Unbelievabra on the MakeMeHeal.com website (http://messageboards.makemeheal.com/viewtopic.php?t=71343). After reading the wonderful posts, I purchased one. Hides back fat and muffin-top with great support for my girls. Love it! Love it! Love it!

Sassybax! Sassybax! Sassybax! Even thin people need the amazing Sassybax line of back fat bulge eliminators. I wore my first one when they just started and a friend showed me what the special no-seam construction could do for those soft spots under the arms and on the back. Now they have the long ones (Torso trim) and underwire in both–plus THE ONLY strapless that actually works on buxom boobies. Surgery is for suckers!

It’s nice to hear of chorus of “sassybax!” THE most comfortable bra you’ll ever wear, and the back fat is gone!

I have removed “back fat” from my list of worries since I discovered Sassybax. Thank goodness!!
