In case you missed it, supermodel Christie Brinkley recently posed in a swimsuit alongside her two daughters for Sports Illustrated magazine. Oh yeah — she's 63. And beyond gorgeous.

It's one thing to have great genes, but we can't help but wonder what Brinkley and other women like Julianne Moore, Carmen Dell'Orefice and Jane Fonda are doing differently to look even more spectacular as the years go by. We asked dermatologists to weigh in with their top tips on how celebs are growing older gracefully — which is code for looking amazing well into their 60s and 70s.

Anti-aging

Start anti-aging care when you're younger

"Smaller, frequent interventions early on yield better and lasting results than a drastic makeover later (which celebs and their publicists dread)," says Dr. Sonam Yadav, cosmetic dermatologist and medical director at Juverne. What, exactly, does this mean? Using sunscreen each and every day and investing in medical facials that boost collagen-like Endymed RF, which Yadav says can help prevent skin sagging later.

Make lifestyle changes

Products and procedures can only take you so far. "Anti-aging is a lifestyle choice," Yadav says. "This means eating healthier, picking unprocessed low-sugar foods, quitting smoking, and trying to sleep 7-8 hours a day."

Acne

Get a handle on acne

"Treat open pores and acne scars when younger, as they become more prominent as skin ages and loses collagen," Yadav says. "Treat acne most aggressively."

Face fillers

Learn about face fillers

As we age, we lose volume in our skin and develop fine lines and wrinkles. Celebs aren't immune to these changes, many just address them with hyaluronic facial fillers. “Hyaluronic acid fillers have advanced so much in the past 10 years, so any celebrity with the money to spend can totally refill their face,” says Dr. Debra Jaliman. “Before they were all very similar so you could use one type of filler for smile lines and other areas of the face. Now there are different types of fillers with differing amounts of hyaluronic acid in them and differing particle size. So if the filler is made up of very small particles it is better for fine lines. If it has very large particles it is good for deep nasolabial folds (smile lines). There are also fillers with special technology like for example Juvederm Voluma. This has Vycross technology which cross-links the hyaluronic acid gel to make it firmer so that it lifts the face. This is one of the best fillers for augmenting cheekbones.”

An important thing to note: the celebs who look the best never overdo it when it comes to fillers and Botox. Their faces don't look frozen. They don't look 20. They simply look fresh and amazing.

Face lasers

Consider laser treatments

Products can only take you so far. If you want to amp up your chances of aging like a celeb, Jaliman says the latest and greatest laser treatments can address myriad skin concerns.

"Add a nonablative laser (that doesn't break the skin) like the genesis or Revlite and you've gotten rid of fine lines, made pores smaller and given the skin glow," Jaliman says. "Add skin tightening with Exilis Ultra or Thermage CPT to tighten the jowl area and around the eyes.  Use a product with peptides and antioxidants like Sea Radiance Rapid Eye Lift, which instantly smooths the eye area. With  all these modalities it's possible to look years younger."
