For many of us, Bath & Body Works is synonymous with super sweet, calming scents. Maybe you and your BFF exchanged vanilla lotion baskets every holiday or your first boyfriend bought you a cinnamon candle that made you swoon--whatever first sparked your interest in the brand's fragrant offerings has likely continued to make them your go-to choice when you need some good, old-fashioned indulgence.

But how much do you really know about Bath & Body Works? What fragrances are their most popular and are they really and truly in every mall in America? We got the scoop on those questions and more--here are 7 facts about the iconic brand that you probably never knew.

The first Bath & Body Works store opened in Cambridge, Massachusetts in September 1990. That makes the brand 25 years old!

If it seems like there's a Bath & Body Works at every mall in the country, it isn't your imagination--there are more than 1,600 stores in the USA and Canada.

Fine Fragrance Mist is the most popular-selling product. This light fragrance, which also hydrates the skin, comes in more than 140 scents that range from Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte and Plum Cider Warmth to Maui Mango Surf and Love & Sunshine.

Bath & Body Works owns America's Favorite Fragrance--Japanese Cherry Blossom. It's easy to see why: this scent contains top notes of Asian Pear, Fuji Apple, and Ume Pear, with Japanese cherry blossom, Kyoto rose, Himalayan Cedarwood, and Vanilla Rice to even it out.

Five additional top 10 fragrances in America include: A Thousand Wishes, Beautiful Day, Moonlight Path, Sweet Pea, and Warm Vanilla Sugar.

Sweet Pea is one of Bath & Body Works’ fragrances with the longest history--it launched in 2000 and has been a fan favorite ever since.

There will, quite literally, rarely be a time when you enter a Bath & Body Works shop and not find a new product. The brand introduces new fragrance collections into its stores every three to four weeks--roughly 200 new fragrances each year.
