George Clooney and Amal Clooney hosted an intimate summer dinner party at their Villa Oleandra home on Lake Como earlier this month. And judging by the pictures shared on social media, Amal stole the show in a stunning black floral slip dress while entertaining their guests!
The glamorous evening saw guests dining outside against the breathtaking Lake Como backdrop. While the Ocean’s Eleven actor, 65, looked dapper in a light gray suit teamed with a crisp white shirt and cream-colored loafers, it really was his wife who turned heads in her figure-hugging vintage John Galliano dress. The 48-year-old ever-stylish lawyer and human rights activist pulled out all the stops for the glamorous event, choosing a black silk floor-length number from John Galliano's Fall 2004 collection that perfectly highlighted her svelte figure.
And eagle-eyed fans may recognize the striking design, as Amal wore the exact same dress earlier this month for the Clooney Foundation for Justice fundraiser at Passalacqua. Check out some pap pics here.
This was no ordinary black slip dress, either. The eye-catching design featured a bold yellow velvet bow at the hip, alongside delicate multicolored floral embroidery that swept diagonally across the dress, adding a playful pop of color to the otherwise sleek black number.
She accessorized with black strappy heels, a red woven bag, and dazzling drop earrings, which peeked through her long brunette locks, worn in a glamorous semi-curly down do.
Australian astrologer Angela Pearl was one of the lucky guests to score an invite to the party at Villa Oleandra – where George and Amal reportedly met for the first time back in 2013 – giving fans a rare glimpse inside the couple's famously private Lake Como home.
She shared a carousel of pictures from the evening on Instagram on August 25th, and captioned the post: "Such a special evening on Lake Como. Honored to be a guest at George Clooney's beautiful villa."
Pearl added: "I had the most wonderful time enjoying dinner with George and Amal. Good food, beautiful views, great company, interesting conversation — and a night I'll never forget."
