Tiger Woods has stayed out of the public eye since his DUI charge back in March 2026, but he recently released a video congratulating his friend, Notah Begay III, who was recently honored with the Payne Stewart Award. The video has since made its rounds on social media, with users claiming the golf icon looks “unrecognizable.” Keep reading for more information.

Tiger Woods Looks ‘Unrecognizable’
The video in question was played during the Payne Stewart Award ceremony earlier this week and subsequently posted by the Golf Channel on X. Tiger congratulated his friend, Notah Begay, on his award, saying, “More people need to know what you’ve done and how you’ve served … you’re trying to raise the bar to allow people to go ahead and achieve a lot more in life.”
However, viewers seemed to be more focused on his appearance than anything he had to say, with many people commented that he looks “worse for wear.”
This appearance comes months after the golfer was involved in a car crash: on March 27, 2026, Woods was arrested in Florida after trying to pass a truck in his Land Rover. The pass attempt failed, he hit the truck, and it rolled onto its side. While neither driver was seriously injured, Woods was charged with DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test, after he refused to provide a urine sample to test his blood alcohol level. Woods is currently scheduled for a court appearance on September 8th.

Social Media Reactions
Across social media platforms, users didn't hold back their comments about Tiger's appearance. "My gosh this guy looks like a corpse," one person wrote. "Completely unrecognizable from the Tiger I knew."
"Geez, Tiger doesn't look so good," said another.
"Tiger looks like a shell of his former self," a third person added.
"He looks rough but more importantly I hope he gets the proper care he needs so that he doesn't hurt himself or others," one comment reads.
"What's going on with the big cat?" asked another user. "Looks different for sure."
"Tiger isn't looking too good here," agreed the next. "Health issues?"
"Poor guy," a final user wrote. "He's not aging well."
