William Allegedly Feels 'Deeply Hurt' Following Harry's 'Spare' Accusations
According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, the damage between the brothers goes beyond simple distance. Speaking about Harry's return to his home country, Morton said William was deeply affected by what his younger brother publicly wrote and said about him, including the claims made in Harry's memoir Spare and the Sussexes' Netflix documentary.
"I think William has been deeply hurt by what Harry wrote and said about him, especially given the medical condition of Catherine and his father," Morton told Time Radio.
The author also claimed that someone close to William used a particularly strong word to describe how the future king felt about his brother's departure from royal life, noting, "William felt utterly abandoned."
"It will take a long, long time for him to recover from that," he continued, as reported by The Mirror.
The biographer suggested that those feelings from William may not simply go away just because Harry is moving back to Britain. Morton said he believes it could take William a significant amount of time to recover from what he views as the breakdown of their relationship.
