Amanda Seyfried may have been recognized for her impressive acting talents during the 2022 Emmy Awards, but we think her epic red carpet style deserves recognition, too! The Mamma Mia! icon, 36, scored the iconic trophy for ‘Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie’ for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes in the acclaimed Hulu series The Dropout. While accepting her award, Seyfried shimmered in a strapless, pink Armani gown with intricate sequin detailing. Gorg!
Seyfried’s dress is from the Giorgio Armani Privè collection, and was embroidered with tulle accents, giving a mermaid-meets-disco-meets-Old Hollywood feel. To complete her show-stopping look, Seyfried wore her long, wavy blonde tresses up into an elegant updo, accessorized with dangly Cartier diamond earrings, a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, and rocked subtly smokey eyeshadow and a timeless red lip. The Les Misérables star also spoke with Vogue Magazine about her Emmys look and working with stylist Elizabeth Stewart.

Regarding her gown, the Letters To Juliet alum said, “[Armani] really knows how to reinvent the wheel. It felt classic, but new.” She also discussed being drawn to its curve-hugging silhouette, adding,”It was like an extra skin, like wearing body armor.” She went on, “I felt like a knight—a really beautiful, pink-purple mermaid knight.”
In her acceptance speech for ‘Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie,’ Seyfried said, “This is a really nice feeling,” while thanking her team and The Dropout creators. She hilariously then spoke directly to the two young children she shares with husband Thomas Sadoski, (as well as her dog), who were all watching, “Hi! Bubs, you gotta go to bed now, but thanks!” She went on, “Thank you, my family. [Thank you to] my mom, my husband, my dad and my kids — and my dog Finn! Thank you so much.”

The Mean Girls actress shared her full Emmys ensemble and details in an Instagram post for her 5.5 million followers. Along with a photo of herself on the red carpet, another with her husband Sadoski and then an adorable pic of a drawing presumably drawn by her children, she wrote, “’Im so proud and I’m still floating,” with a red dancer emoji, “Thanks @elizabethstewart1 @renatocampora and @genevieveherr for making me look my best for the moment.”
