Amy Schumer Posts A 'No Filter' Selfie And Flashes Her Toned Stomach
Last week, the 44-year-old comedian decided to show off her post-weight loss figure, giving her fans and followers a real glimpse into exactly how far she's come. Although Amy is famous for making buzzworthy headlines and successful series and films, she's also become an advocate for women's health, opening up about her journey with motherhood and going through various medical conditions like endometriosis.
As part of her health journey, she consulted doctors about losing excess weight and was prescribed weight loss medications, including Ozempic, which she wasn't afraid to rant about. She mentioned that it caused her to lose 30 pounds in a "quick" timeframe, and gave her rough side effects that made it difficult for her to care for her young son, Gene.
Now, she's taking a new weight loss medication and flaunting her progress, having posted a selfie of herself on Instagram, flashing her toned torso, adding the caption "no filter."
Amy Schumer Notes Mounjaro Has 'Been Great' For Her Weight Loss Journey
After her experience with Ozempic drove her to needing to stop taking it, the Life With Beth star made an Instagram video about how, thanks to a female health-centered health provider, she was trying something new.
In her video, which was shared earlier this year, she told her followers she had started taking Mounjaro instead of Ozempic, noting it's "been great" and that she is continuing to slim down, all while gaining back some energy and losing some more nasty symptoms.
"My symptoms from being in perimenopause disappeared," she said. "My hair is fuller, my skin is better, [and] I have more energy."
In addition to Mounjaro, she revealed she was also prescribed estrogen and progesterone, which she said helped her manage her perimenopause symptoms.
