Ariana Grande may be gearing up for an epic second round of promotion for Wicked: For Good, which is due to hit theatres in November, but she still found time to share a politically-themed message with her 373M Instagram followers. And as expected, it hasn’t gone down well!

The 32-year-old Oscar-nominated actress has come under fire for re-posting a viral post slamming Donald Trump, in particular what he has done for immigrants and trans rights. This includes trying to end protections for young undocumented immigrants, banning trans people from serving openly in the military, and rolling back other key rights, among other things. Ariana Grande Shares Viral Political Post On Instagram

On Sunday, September 28th, the Sam and Cat alum took to her Instagram Stories to share a viral post originally posted by makeup artist and activist Matt Bernstein, which asks Trump's supporters questions about his second term in office.

The R.E.M Beauty founder's post asks: "I want to check in with Trump voters. I have one very genuine question. It's been 250 days. Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the brink of collapse for us all – has your life gotten better?"

The questions continued: "Have your groceries gotten cheaper? Has your health insurance premium gone down? Has your work/life balance improved? Can you take a vacation yet? Are you happier? Has the widespread suffering of others paid off for you in the way he promised it would, or are you still waiting?"

The White House Responds To Ariana Grande's Post

There were understandably many reactions to the "Boy is Mine" singer's post – including from the White House itself! "Save your tears, Ariana, because President Trump's actions ended Joe Biden's inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments," White House Deputy Press Secretary Kush Desai reportedly told the Daily Mail.

Desai went on: "He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande's concert-going fans. Get well soon, Ariana!" Ouch!

X Reactions

And the comments continued on X too! "I really would love to talk with this woman... she lives in a fantasy world," commented one X user. "She's such a dingbat," slammed a second, as a third demanded: "Please leave our country forever. Don't ever come back."

"Woke Actress Ariana Grande's Attempt to Embarrass Trump Supporters Backfires When They Masterfully Respond to Her Snarky Question," wrote a fourth, referencing some of the replies, which include: "Yes Ariana, so have the lives of many people who work hard daily for a less affluent life than you have," and "Yes... thank you for asking! Under the Biden administration inflation was as high as 9%. Everything was higher from eggs and groceries to gas and utilities, not to mention housing and rent skyrocketed."

"Ariana is as clueless as she looks," criticized a fifth, as a sixth called her "out of touch." "Celebrities should keep their stupid opinions to themselves," declared a seventh. "She hates America and Americans, even though America made her rich," thought an eighth.

"You can see what a totally brainless pathetic idiot she is!" exclaimed a ninth, as a tenth concluded: "She has been living a pampered life and has the audacity to try and tell normal Americans their life is worse."
