Although Jennifer Lopez’s mom and both of her children – 14-year-old fraternal twins Max and Emme – were at her and Ben Affleck’s surprise Las Vegas wedding on Saturday, July 16th, not all of her new husband’s children were in attendance. Affleck’s 16-year-old daughter Violet, one of the three children from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner, 50, was noticeably absent from the ceremony, but nobody knew why – until now!
According to reports, Violet Affleck did not want to attend the ceremony, as she felt it would have been somewhat of a snub to her mom. His other two children, 13-year-old daughter Seraphina and 10-year-old son, Samuel, however, were there, while their mom was seemingly enjoying her weekend on Lake Tahoe in Northern California.

"Ben did tell [ex-wife Jennifer Garner] about the wedding, but I’m told that it was only Friday at the earliest," a source told Page Six. "It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur-of-the-moment. Violet stayed home because she’s extremely loyal to her mom."
The insider's comment is interesting, as the 13 Going On 30 actress has reportedly been very supportive of the 49-year-old Tender Bar actor's relationship, and has also been very welcoming to his new wife, even before they officially tied the knot. According to Hollywood Life, a source said that Garner "congratulated Ben and J-Lo following their Vegas wedding, and she sent them a beautiful bouquet of flowers." Aww!
And it seems the love and support has gone both ways too, as the 53-year-old Marry Me actress was "really touched" by her kind gesture, and "thinks it is great that Jen and Ben are still so close." The source also went on to say that Garner "welcomed J-Lo into their family, officially, after they got married," adding that the "On My Way" singer "is such a great influence on Ben and all that Jen has ever wanted was for him to be healthy, happy, and sober so that he can be there for his children."
We don’t think there are any hard feelings, as Ben's children even tagged along to his and J-Lo's honeymoon in Paris; and if the pap pictures are anything to go by, everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives! Violet was even spotted embracing her new step mom (with a huge smile on her face, no less!) so it's looking like they are going to be one big, happy, blended family!
