While Britney Spears, 40, and her fiance Sam Asghari, 28, have set an official wedding date, the couple (who made several notable announcements over the past few weeks including a baby on the way) just coyly revealed that they won’t be sharing the date until after they are married.
On Mother’s Day over the weekend, actor and personal trainer Asghari shared a sweet tribute to the mother of his future child on his Instagram story, and shared that they have chosen a special day for their wedding that will be kept a secret from the public.

“Our lives have been a real life fairytale,” he wrote in his caption as his photo showed him kissing Spears. In the image, the pop superstar holds up her ring finger and flaunts her shimmering engagement ring. “Happy Mother’s Day to you my soon to be queen,” he added, as she is currently pregnant with his first and her third child. “Also the big day has been set!” he continued. “But nobody will know until the day after.”
On her own Instagram, Spears also teased more information about her wedding the next day with her 41 million followers. The “Toxic” hitmaker uploaded a cute photo of her new cat Wendy, welcoming her to their family and showed the feline lying down on top of tulle fabric (which she explained is the veil she will wear in her upcoming wedding!) “Introducing Wendy!!!” she sweetly wrote with a cat emoji. “And yes, this is the veil to my wedding dress,” she added, much to her fans’ delight as seen in the comment section.

“Omg congrats Britney!!!!” wrote one fan as another added, “please tell us when the date is!” Others marveled at how adorable Spears’ new spotted feline is and more users wished her and Asghari luck in planning their wedding and expressed their excitement for their future child. This will be Asghari’s first marriage and child, and Spears was previously married to fellow singer Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. The former couple share two sons; Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15.
Spears and Asghari met in 2016 on the set of Spears’ music video for her song, “Slumber Party” and have been together ever since. Asghari proposed to Spears in September 2021 after nearly five years together. Congrats, Britney and Sam! And hopefully, as one fan wrote, “we’ll see pics from the wedding soon.”
