As temperatures rise outside, Burger King has invented a new way for customers to stay cool in the sweltering summer heat. Just add some ice to your burger!
Yes, you read that right. The fast food chain concocted a brand new sandwich they call the “Ice Whopper,” which is essentially just what it sounds like: a Whopper topped with a layer of shaved ice. How strange!

Unfortunately for those of us braving the heat waves here in the U.S., this unique menu item is currently only available in Japan at a single pop up location. If you happen to be visiting Japan this summer, lucky you! You can stop by the Morito Beach House OASIS in HAYAMA Town, Miura District, Kanagawa Prefecture to try it for yourself. For a combo that includes a Coke, the meal will cost you 1,000 yen (that's around 7 dollars).
While we likely won't be able to get our hands on the Ice Whopper here in the United States, we've got our fair share of new menu items this summer, including a brand new line of crispy chicken sandwiches. So, although you may not be able to savor the taste of that shaved ice, you can bite into one of the man juicy BK Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwiches: Classic, Spicy, Bacon & Swiss Cheese, and Southern BBQ. Our mouths are watering!
