Catherine Zeta-Jones Sports A Navy Blue Golf Outfit While Playing With Michael Douglas In Scotland

This year, the power couple stepped out and participated in events for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, which is a famous golf tournament that happens in Europe. Aside from their acting careers, the pair of performers is also avid golf players, and the Chicago star decided to show off her skills and participate in the tournament this year.

Earlier this week, she shared photos from her experience playing at St. Andrews Old Course in Scotland, and paparazzi caught a few snaps of her as well. Writing captions about her enthusiasm for the tournament, in pictures and videos, Catherine can be seen wearing navy blue golf clothes, including long, athletic pants and a zip-up navy golfing sweater. She paired the outfit with a black baseball cap, some white athletic sneakers, and some chic sunglasses, prioritizing comfort while still looking stylish.

In the pictures and video clips she shared on social media, she's all smiles and focused on her game, which shows that she's seemingly unbothered after getting some critical comments online following a late-night talk show interview that went south, following a few uncomfortable comments she made.

The Internet Reacts To Catherine's Golf Post Following Her 'Inappropriate' Comments

Not long before her golf tournament post went up, the actress was just under fire following her interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she spoke about the new season of Wednesday, in which she plays the iconic Morticia Addams.

However, while talking to Seth, she mentioned that with her latest acting projects and the wider audience range the gothic show is reaching, she has gained a new group of fans, including ones from younger generations.

"What was really great about what's happening in this is that I've got this, like, new kind of generation of fans," she said. Then, things got increasingly awkward as she excitedly spoke about a "cute" 12-year-old boy who asked for her autograph.

"I was hitting golf balls with Michael [Douglas] the other day on the driving range, I was practicing, and this really cute 12-year-old boy came up and asked for my autograph," she recalled. "He was, like, really cute. And then I went, 'Ha ha! When I'm 70, this cute little boy will be like, 33.'"

She continued to joke about how she continued thinking about the boy on the golf course following their interaction, and while she and the talk show host tried making light of the story and brushing it off before changing the subject, that moment quickly went viral online, as internet users began slamming her as "inappropriate" and "creepy." Still, it seems that some of her fans are moving on from the drama just like her, commenting praiseful things about her golf tournament on Instagram.

"Nice swing!" wrote a fan.

"She's beauty, she's grace," added another.

"The most beautiful duo," wrote a fan, referencing her husband. "Glad you had a great time."
