By now, you probably know Chrissy Teigen as a Twitter icon, the mother of two beautiful children, and the subject of many of John Legend’s passionate love songs. But before she was a household name, Teigen built her modeling career from the ground up and recently shared some throwbacks to her Instagram account to remember her humble beginnings.

On February 1, Teigen took to Instagram to show off her runway walk from Miami Fashion Week years ago, sharing a collection of pics revealing her taut abs as she strutted in a variety of classic early 2000’s bikinis. She detailed a typical day in her caption, writing, “SWIPE! was talking about my days of Miami fashion week and how it was basically my equivalent of walking Paris couture. 200 bucks a show minus agency and I’d wait 5/6 hours sitting on the floor of the Mondrian to be seen.” Sounds glamorous!
Teigen began her career on the first season of Deal or No Deal as a briefcase model and then continued to pick up traction, appearing as “Rookie Of The Year” in the 2010 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. She’s since had a number of high profile modeling gigs both on television and the runway before leaning into her passion for cooking, releasing her first cookbook in 2016.
In the throwback photos that Teigen shared, she dons a full face of makeup which is in stark contrast to the bare faced look she frequently opts for these days. The model is fond of sharing raw and unfiltered depictions of her life on social media now, so the heavily made up shots are a dramatically different side to her.
At 35-years-old, Teigen is just as gorgeous as she was when she began modeling over 10 years ago. Fortunately, she now gets to show off her sharp wit and sense of humor, and has proven to be so much more than just a pretty face!
