Donald Trump Begs For A Flattering Photo
Interrupting his speech at the Kennedy Center, Trump noticed that Doug Mills, a photographer for The New York Times that won a Pulitzer Prize for the images he took during the assassination attempt on Trump in 2024. "Pulitzer Prize! Right there. Pulitzer Prize! He got one for the bullet," Trump said. "These are the ones that take the pictures. Make me look thin for a change, Doug. You’re making me look a little bit heavy. I’m not happy about it."
Shortly after this outburst, the @Democrat X page posted several unflattering photos of Trump on their page with the caption, "Not the photographer's fault." While certainly a funny quip—and not nearly as insulting as any one of Donald Trump's Truth Social rants, many Trump supporters came to their leader's defense.
Social Media Reactions
In response to the tweet from @Democrats, Trump supporters across social media came together to call out the joke. "You're so immature," responded one user.
"Let's be better than this..." another said. "How about we talk about policy instead?"
"I'm glad the official X account of the Democrat party has such important things to say," another pointed out.
"Bodyshaming now?" asked the next user. "How PC of you. Hypocrites."
"This seems like a really great use of time from the Democrats," added another.
"Y'all are pathetic," a final comment reads. "This is all you got? Scraping the buttom of the barrel."
