When Joe Biden was president, Donald Trump and his followers took great amusement in calling him “Sleepy Joe.” It seems, though, that their joke hasn’t aged too well, as Trump, now in his second term as president, has taken to dozing off during important events, including a recent White House briefing with dr. Donald Trump Dozes Off During White House Briefing
On July 31, Donald Trump, Dr. Oz, and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. held a press conference at the White House to discuss their new health tracking system. While Dr. Oz and RFK Jr. broke down their plan, Trump appeared less than enthused, and some video clips show the 79-year-old struggling to keep his eyes open for a majority of the event.
"We’re going to have remarkable advances in how consumers can use their own records," Dr. Oz explained as Trump bobbed his head up and down, repeatedly shutting his eyes for brief periods. Viewers couldn't help but point out the hypocrisy of the entire situation, as Biden endured months of being called "Sleepy Joe" while Trump now does the same thing.

Donald Trump Calls Joe Biden 'Sleepy Joe'
The rude nickname originated back in 2019 when Joe Biden announced he would be running against Donald Trump after his first term. "Welcome to the race Sleepy Joe," Trump wrote in a tweet. Throughout the 2020 campaign, Trump repeatedly used the nickname to mock and insult Biden, and continued to do so throughout the 2024 election cycle.
