Dua Lipa blew everyone away when she walked the 64th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3rd. The 26-year-old “Levitating” singer not only debuted a brand new platinum blonde hair color on the red carpet (*wow!*) but she also rocked one of the sexiest dresses in existence, choosing to wear a vintage black Versace evening dress from the fall/winter 1992 collection. Who needs a brand new bespoke dress when you can raid the archives of one of the biggest Italian fashion houses in the world and steal the show?!
The “Cold Heart” singer’s dress really was show-stealing on so many levels. Not only did it feature a sexy bondage-inspired bodice, complete with sheer and fishnet paneling in the middle, but it also featured one of the highest slits we’ve even seen! And forget the side slit, as this dress was all about the back slit; and it was the most daring slit (front, side, or back!) we have *ever* seen! The Versace muse‘s dress left very little to the imagination when she turned around, and we can confidently say that this is the “New Rules” singer’s most provocative red carpet look to date!

We must point out that this dress was modeled by Christy Turlington in Versace’s 1992 ‘Miss S&M’ show, and then worn on the MTV VMAs red carpet by none other than Cindy Crawford that same year; so we admire Dua’s bravery for choosing to wear something also worn by two of the most iconic supermodels in the world. Luckily, she held her own, as she looked sensational in the black and gold design!
We adore the “One Kiss” musician’s styling too, as she accessorized her dress with multiple layers of the iconic Versace Medusa necklace, and also went bold as far as her wrist candy was concerned too. She also wore lots of rings, and painted her long talons in a matching shade of gold – we wouldn’t expect anything less! We were, however, surprised to see that she kept her makeup fairly minimal, opting for subtle eye makeup and a toned down red lip.

Wearing a vintage dress wasn’t the only throwback that Dua took part in last night, as she and Megan Thee Stallion recreated Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston’s infamous and hilarious skit from the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards, whereby they both ‘accidentally’ turned up wearing the exact same outfit. For the skit, Dua had an outfit change (of course!) and wore a slinky black dress, also by Versace, naturally, as did Megan.
The 27-year-old “Hot Girl Summer” rapper accused the “Break My Heart” singer of stealing her look, while Dua joked that she was told her dress was an “exclusive,” adding, “I’m going to have to have a talk with Donatella.” And luckily, the designer in question just so happened to be in the audience, and quickly came onto the stage to make things right. She ripped both Dua and Megan’s skirts off, and created two totally different looks for the ladies, leading the “Savage” rapper to say, “Thank you Donatella! Now we both look like winners!” One of the best moments of the night!
