Eric Stonestreet Shows Off His Weight Loss During His Kansas Wedding In New Photos
Those who may not recognize Eric's name will likely remember him as the larger-than-life character from the award-winning sitcom, Modern Family, where his character, Cam, performed some of the funniest bits and lines. Now that the series is over, he's been working on some other projects, taking care of himself, and even more deeply falling in love.
On Monday, September 8th, the actor married his girlfriend since 2017, Lindsay Schweitzer, a pediatric nurse, in his home state of Kansas. After meeting almost ten years ago, the 54-year-old told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that Lindsay "calms" him, and told People that his proposal to her in 2021 was "impromptu, just made it a special moment for her."
Their wedding took place in Kansas City, which is where he's from, and was hosted in their home, giving it a cozy vibe. She wore a simple yet elegant white, silky dress, and he wore a sharp black suit with a teal-colored tie. You can see pictures from their wedding here. The suit also allowed him to show off his latest weight loss.
Eric Has Lost 40 Pounds Through Mounjaro Since 2022
The Identity Thief star has been known as a larger guy since gaining popularity through the famous sitcom, but now that is no longer the case, after using Mounjaro. This popular weight loss medication has helped him slim down and get healthier.
In an interview with People magazine, he revealed that around 10 years ago, he was working hard to maintain a "healthy" lifestyle, but his efforts usually weren't very effective. Then, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2009, right as his career was starting to take off.
"It was like this crazy, happy moment cut with this diagnosis that I truthfully didn't take very seriously," he admitted.
However, after years of struggling with his diagnosis and even briefly hiding it from Lindsay and his two stepchildren, in 2022, he was prescribed Mounjaro to help him reduce his appetite and manage his diabetes.
"It's a game changer," he said. "It has just been incredible. It's changed my lifestyle, changed my approach to eating, changed my approach to exercise."
Now, he's reportedly lost around 40 pounds and is thriving, not only in a new body but with his new wife and family. Fans sent him well-wishes on Instagram and also called out how great he looks.
"You look amazing!" wrote a fan.
"Eric looks fantastic," added another. "Glad you've been taking good care of yourself, sir."
