Florence Pugh & Zach Braff’s Professional & Romantic Relationship

Pugh and Braff, 47, dated for three years before confirming that they ended their relationship in August of last year. In an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, the Midsommar actress explained that the two aimed to keep the breakup as private as possible for as long as they could.

“We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on,” Pugh told the publication, speaking about their controversial 20-year age gap. “We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that.”

Based on Pugh and Braff’s frequent social media shout-outs directed at each other, their break-up seems to have been amicable. When writing A Good Person, Braff gushed in a recent interview that he only imagined Pugh as the lead protagonist.

“I quite simply think she’s one of the greatest actors of her generation. She’s just magnetic,” he said. “You cannot take your eyes off of her. And it’s not just her beauty and it’s not just her acting ability; it’s that thing, that magic thing that transcends the screen, where anyone and everyone goes: I want to see whatever this person does.”
