It’s no secret that one of the most notable moments of this past year for Hailey Bieber has been her $1 billion sale of her beauty company, Rhode, to e.l.f. Beauty. Now, she’s opening up about that and her marriage to Justin Bieber in a new ‘innovator’ interview.
The Rhode founder recently posed for a cover shoot for the Wall Street Journal after being named 2025’s ‘Beauty Innovator’ after her astonishing sale. For her interview, she opened up about her life as both a new mom and beauty mogul, and even made a few statements about her relationship with her pop star husband, Justin Bieber. It was a significant moment for fans of the couple, as they’ve been surrounded by all sorts of breakup rumors over the last six months. Read more about what she had to say below.
Hailey Bieber Poses In A Silky Black Suit For A 'Wall Street Journal' Cover Shoot
This week, as a part of their Innovator Series, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Hailey was the 2025 Beauty Innovator of the Year, following the initial success of her beauty brand, Rhode, which she founded in 2022, and the sale she recently made with e.l.f. Beauty. If you hadn't heard, at the end of May, the model and brand owner sold Rhode to e.l.f. Beauty for a whopping $1 billion.
Although a new brand has acquired Rhode, the mom-of-one will still be involved, as she remains its founder, chief creative officer, and head of innovation, meaning she'll be overseeing creative, product innovation, and marketing. It was an incredibly impressive business deal made by a 28-year-old; therefore, it's no wonder she was honored for it by the famous financial magazine.
For her photoshoot, Hailey posed in several outfits, including a silky all-black suit she wore on the cover, as she posed with yellow building blocks. For another photo, she also wore a colorful athletic orange jacket that she paired with a delicate, lacey slip underneath, similar to one of her latest Fashion Week looks. Pictures of her shoot can be seen here!

Hailey Talks About Being A Mom & Her Marriage To Justin Bieber In Her 'WSJ' Interview
While the magazine interview was centered on her massive business deal and being the owner of an extremely successful brand, her discussion with the WSJ journalists naturally transitioned into a conversation about her family, especially since she mentioned she wanted to save money from her massive business deal for her and Justin's one-year-old son, Jack Blues Bieber.
"I want to preserve that for my son's future," she admitted. "It's an amount of money that I have not dealt with before, so I just want to be smart with it. I would like to invest it wisely."
She also began talking more about her marriage to her husband, whose name has been in the headlines a lot more lately after he released two new surprise albums and announced he would be headlining next year's Coachella music festival, marking one of his first times performing a live solo show in a long time.
"We're both really finding our voices of who we are," she told the publication. "And, I believe, both are really walking authentically in what it is we actually want to be doing."
This quote was reassuring for fans of the couple, as over the last six months, there have been breakup and divorce rumors surrounding them, ever since Justin made some harsh comments about his wife on social media, and there were reports that his physical and mental health were going downhill. However, according to her latest comments, it looks like they're strong as a family and pursuing their passions.
