Halsey shocked fans earlier this month with a blonde lob cut, and she looks totally stunning. But it’s definitely not a look we’re used to seeing from the “You Should Be Sad” singer. The 26-year-old is no stranger to hair experiments, and she’s sported pretty much every color you can think of. However, she typically opts for bolder hues–pink, blue, and even rainbow–making her blonde ‘do a more understated surprise.

Halsey debuted her look on Instagram in a carousel of selfies. She captioned the photos, "Blonde for the day," assuring fans that the change would not be a longterm one.
Fans loved the new look anyway. One commented, "OMG HI BLONDSEY."
Another commented, "What can't she do," clearly referring to the fact that the singer can pull of literally every hair color.
In the trio of selfies, Halsey showed off the asymmetrical look. Considering she was sporting a buzz cut just a few days earlier, the blonde look was probably a wig (not extensions).
Luckily, that means Halsey can bring back this blonde moment anytime she wants, which she just might decide to do. At this point, the singer has already debuted two different hairstyles since then--one an icy blue and the other a bright red--but we're hoping she keeps the platinum blonde in her wig rotation.
And we're definitely not alone. Fans affectionately called her "a blonde goddess" after seeing the photos, making it more than clear that they'd love to see more of this look from Halsey. Fingers crossed that the singer keeps that in mind when it comes to her next hair experiment!
