Hot Water And Lemon

Try this drink in the morning when you wake up parched and it will flush your digestive system and rehydrate your body. The key here is temperature. Cold water slows your digestive system, but hot or warm keeps everything moving at a healthy pace. It increases blood flow and relaxes your muscles, both of which help food move through and out of your body smoothly. Add a squeeze of lemon – it might help speed up your metabolism and weight loss.

Ginger Tea

Sip ginger tea after breakfast to balance out your stomach acids and prevent poor digestion later on in the day. Ginger stimulates your GI system so it’s ready to work. Food won’t linger in your gut and cause cramps and bloating when ginger is on the job. Steep a few pieces of fresh ginger root in hot water or use store-bought tea bags.

Peppermint Tea

This tea is more than just a soothing sip. The herbal content improves the flow of bile in your intestines, which means food is digested and eliminated in a timely manner. There’s no time for feeling too full and gassy after a cup of peppermint tea.

Green Tea

Green and black teas come from the same source, but the former is less processed and therefore contains more catechins. These are the parts of the tea plant that stimulate your body to release digestive enzymes that get right to work on breaking down food, helping you feel less bloated throughout the day.
