Hugh Jackman recently appeared on Today to talk about helping “good friend” Blake Lively – who, as we all know, has been at the center of controversy for months due to her legal battle against It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni – with a wardrobe malfunction at the Met Gala.
The trouble is, Jackman himself appears to be falling out of favor with the public too, so the appearance didn’t get the reaction he had perhaps hoped for.

It's no secret that the Deadpool & Wolverine star's reputation has taken a hit over the past few years. His friendship with the Gossip Girl alum and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, is said to be part of the reason, as is his decision to stay quiet during her court case despite seemingly being close friends with the couple.
And, of course, the end of his marriage to Deborra-Lee Furness has only added fuel to the fire. According to reports, the Song Sung Blue star believes his ex-wife of 27 years is partly responsible for his worsening reputation in Hollywood.
He reportedly thinks that her speaking to people about being "blindsided" by their divorce – along with his alleged affair and new relationship with his Music Man co-star Sutton Foster – has caused people to turn against him.

"Hugh's becoming increasingly angry over the feeling that more and more people in Hollywood are quietly turning against him," an insider reportedly told Globe. They added: "He blames Deb for it 100% and says there's been a steady drip of poison behind the scenes from her and her camp."
Jackman's fears reportedly don't appear to be coming out of nowhere, as Nicole Kidman seemed to avoid both Jackman and Foster at the Met Gala in New York earlier this month.
According to reports, other A-listers are also allegedly "taking sides" – and they're firmly Team Deborra-Lee! "Hugh is now convinced that Naomi Watts and even Russell Crowe are ditching him for Deb," the insider claimed.

"He says things have spiraled way beyond a normal breakup now and turned into a coordinated effort to isolate them socially. He's furious and says he's no longer prepared to just sit back quietly and take it," the source continued.
While the Greatest Showman actor is understandably upset about the prospect of being frozen out by many people in Hollywood, reports suggest he is even more bothered by the way the Younger actress is being treated.
"He's very protective of Sutton and says it's incredibly unfair that she's being frozen out and judged by people who used to happily socialize with her," the source claimed, before adding: "He's demanding that Deb stop stirring the pot."
