Jelly Roll is getting a lot of praise these days after sharing that he’s lost nearly 200 pounds by taking better care of himself and has been super open with his fans about how he’s doing it, even to the point where he’s having some of his wellness sessions documented and uploaded on social media.
The singer recently shared a silly video of himself and one of his professional chefs sitting in a cold plunge, which is one of today’s most popular wellness trends. He chatted and joked back and forth with the cook to distract himself from the freezing-cold ice bath and posted the footage on his Instagram account, prompting his fans and followers to congratulate him on how far he’s come. Jelly Roll Posts A Video Of Him And His Chef In A Cold Plunge On Instagram
The “Son Of A Sinner” singer has been sharing several social media posts to document his weight loss journey with his followers and anyone who can use extra motivation. At the end of April, he posted a silly video titled “Cold Plunge Questions Pt.2,” where he can be seen sitting in an ice bath alongside his friend and hired chef, nutrition coach Ian Larios.
Cold plunges are a wellness trend that’s taken over the health community in the last few years, as health experts and athletes found there are many benefits to taking a quick dip in icy cold waters. Some of those benefits include increased energy, better physical recovery after strenuous exercise, reduced inflammation, a boosted immune system, and more. Therefore, it’s no surprise the 40-year-old enjoys them, given he’s made so much progress in his weight loss.
In the video, which was shared on Instagram, the musician and the chef joke back and forth with each other and ask questions as they try to ignore the chilly temperatures of the water. At one point, he was asked what he’d like to do if he could master one skill.
“If I could instantly master one thing, it’d be the piano!” says Jelly Roll excitedly. “I’d be the big Billy Joel.”
The singer also joked about wishing he had the ability to fly so he could complete everyday errands easier.
