Luis Guzmán Seemingly Shades Jennifer Lopez On ‘Hot Ones’
On a recent episode of Hot Ones with Wednesday Season 2 actors Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, and Luis Guzmán, Guzmán was asked to describe some of his former costars in just one word.
He was very complimentary of the majority of his costars, calling Ortega a “prodigy,” Catherine Zeta-Jones “belissima,” and Adam Sandler “amazing.” But when it came to Lopez, whom he worked with in the 1998 film Out of Sight alongside George Clooney and Don Cheadle, Guzmán paused, shrugged, and finally said: “ok.”
The moment was met with stunned silence, then laughter. And naturally, the internet didn’t hesitate to comment on his one word shady comment.
Internet Reactions To Luis Guzmán's Comment
"No hesitation. He said what he said. He wasn't being funny but that was hilarious," praised one fan in the comment section. "Luis calling J-Lo 'ok' had me crying laughing. This was so good," echoed a second, as a third concurred: "The J-Lo jab had me weak I wasn't expecting that blunt of an answer but then again it's Luis." "That J-Lo comment had me floored," raved a fourth fan, followed by four crying laughing emojis.
"Jennifer Lopez 'ok' took me out, and I know he's telling the truth," raved a fifth fan, followed by five crying laughing emojis, as a sixth agreed: "Love the jab at J-Lo cause we all know she's a difficult person to deal with."
"You have to love that not-so-subtle jab at Jennifer Lopez from Luis Guzmán. I don't know the story, but it's probably good," joked a seventh.
"Really reaffirms everything people have been saying about her," wrote an eighth fan, followed by three crying laughing emojis. "Luis Guzmán shrugging and saying 'ok' with disdain to describe J-Lo was hilarious," added a ninth, as a tenth said: "The J-Lo shade is everything we already knew."
"Saying J-Lo is ok is already a massive overstatement," quipped an eleventh. "'Jennifer Lopez?' Shrug 'Ok.' That had me crying laughing!" exclaimed a twelfth, followed by the crying laughing emoji. "Literally the best part," the same fan added, while a thirteenth said: "I feel like Luis is everyone when asked about J-Lo."
