Jessica Simpson Guest Stars On 'All's Fair' And Wears 'Botched' Prosthetics
Over the last month, pop culture enthusiasts have been buzzing since the new highly anticipated Ryan Murphy series All's Fair started airing on November 4th. The show includes a star-studded cast of women, from Kim Kardashian to Glenn Close and Naomi Watts. It's a legal drama with some comedy mixed in, and follows a team of high-power female attorneys who decide to leave a male-dominated law firm and start their own practice, primarily helping other women.
The pilot episode started out with a bang, as one of their first female clients of the series was played by none other than Jessica Simpson. She played a character named Lee-Ann, a scorned woman who arrived at the law firm with a botched face and a mission to get "revenge" on her rock star ex-husband, played by Rick Springfield. In her backstory, the character reveals that when she turned 40, her husband pressured her into getting plastic surgery, which clearly backfired, as her face looked nearly disfigured.
The day after the episode aired, the "I Wanna Love You Forever" singer posted a behind-the-scenes video of herself with her prosthetic makeup on, dancing around in her trailer. In her caption, she revealed that she had to sit in a makeup chair for a whopping six hours.
Fans React To Jessica Simpson's Role And Prosthetics On Social Media
After the episode aired, many fans and pop culture enthusiasts were pleasantly surprised to see the Dukes of Hazzard actress was back behind the camera, as when she stepped away from the spotlight for a few years, she hadn't taken on a professional acting project in a long time.
Many cheered her on for returning to acting in this special episode, as well as for being a champ with her complicated prosthetics.
"She killed it!" wrote an Instagram user. "I felt so bad for that character! Amazing show."
"Omg, I didn't know that was her," added another.
"She was fabulous," commented a fan, as another wrote that Jessica's acting was "so good."
We'll be curious to see if this guest star role inspires the former reality star to take on any more acting projects, but for now, fans are continuing to cheer her on for her performance in the memorable pilot.
