Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have finally settled their ongoing It Ends With Us legal drama, but he might have to give her a pretty penny in return.
The former co-stars recently ended their back-and-forth legal drama following nearly two years of lawsuits and court dates. Now, in one of the latest updates as to what happens next, it was revealed that the It Ends With Us director will have to pay his lead star’s legal fees, which attorneys are estimating is a hefty amount. Read more about the situation below.

Justin Baldoni & Blake Lively Reach Settlement In Court
There are a lot of celebrity court cases and lawsuits that have made their mark over the years, and one of the most recent ones that had a lot of people locked in was the battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
The pair famously worked together on the romantic drama film, It Ends With Us, a film adaptation of the very popular 2016 novel by Colleen Hoover. The film garnered a lot of attention, as readers were interested in the choices that were going to be made by Justin as the director and the Gossip Girl icon as the beloved lead character.
When the movie was released, not only did it receive poor reviews, but then came a lot of drama involving the duo, which started when the mom-of-four sued her director and his production company Wayfarer for sexual harassment and retaliation in December 2024. After he countersued in 2025, a slew of evidence involving other notable figures like Taylor Swift emerged, and a back-and-forth legal battle that didn't end until recently. On June 12th, Judge Lewis Liman made the last ruling, and the terms of their settlement were released earlier this week on June 15th.
Justin Baldoni Was Ordered To Pay Blake Lively's Legal Fees
Despite the court battle being drawn out and quite dramatic, with bombshell texts and other pieces of evidence being released that made both the Jane The Virgin actor and Blake Brown founder look bad, damaging their reputations, the settlement wasn't as intense as some expected.
Once all was said and done, neither side publicly admitted wrongdoing, and neither side received a large sum of damages payout from the other. The settlement effectively ended the main fight between them; however, they then returned to court to battle over legal fees.
On Friday, the 12th, it was revealed that Justin was ordered to pay Blake's legal fees. Though the sum the director officially owes his former co-star hasn't been confirmed or decided yet, Justin's attorney, Bryan Freedman, estimates "the litigation cost Lively roughly $30 million to $60 million," as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
We'll be curious to see what the two It Ends With Us stars have to say about the entire situation in future interviews, if they decide to talk about it at all. For now, it looks like Justin could still be taking a hit financially.
