It looks like the royals are running into the same problems this holiday season as the rest of us.
Prince William and Kate Middleton recently let slip that their plans for Christmas remain uncertain, explaining that they are “still trying to make plans” to celebrate safely.
While on their three-day train tour of the UK, William opened up about what they are planning for Christmas. During their stop in Cardiff, the future king explained how he felt about the uncertainty in making plans for the holidays this year.
"It is so difficult," he said. "We are still trying to make plans. It's difficult to know what to do for the best."
Lily Faulkner, a 21-year-old student at Cardiff University, told Hello!: "They were trying like the rest of us to make Christmas plans with their family and still weren't 100% sure of what they were going to do or where they were going to be."
According to the article, there's a possibility that Will and Kate could spend the holidays with Kate's family.
"As they are not expected to be in Sandringham this year, William and Kate may choose to spend Christmas with Kate's family in Berkshire," Hello! explained.
Especially because so much of the royal family has already made plans to celebrate separately.
The article adds that the Queen and Prince Philip are planning to spend the holiday at Windsor Castle.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Camilla will be spending Christmas at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
Although they could still opt to join their family (under the current UK coronavirus restrictions, a maximum of three households can mix during the holidays), they might use the opportunity to have a less traditional royal Christmas celebration.
